01 / The club

About the project

Stonethrow is a new kind of private club coming to East Dallas, built around a bond every member shares: kids. It gives children room to run wild, make up games, and find new friends while parents can breathe, share a meal, or connect with other families who understand the season they are in.

02

The project adapts a 50,000-square-foot mid-century office building and its 3.65-acre campus into a year-round family destination. Indoor courts, play spaces, a nursery, restaurant, cocktail bar, adult lounge, outdoor fields, and a long pool season bring hospitality and recreation together under one membership.

03

Playmakers are central to the model. Part coach and part camp counselor, they organize games, spark imagination, and make sure children are included—giving parents space to relax without separating the family experience.

04

The community began before the clubhouse. Regular events, playdates, trips, and traditions are already connecting hundreds of member families ahead of the planned Fall 2027 opening, turning the development process itself into an exercise in building belonging.

Co-founders of Stonethrow Club

Nick Clark and Dawson Williams are the co-founders of Roster Family Clubs, the company behind Stonethrow. Their partnership began with Common Desk, the coworking platform they grew to 23 locations across 13 cities before its acquisition by WeWork in 2022.

With Stonethrow, they are applying that experience in hospitality, operations, and community building to a different kind of shared space: a neighborhood club designed around modern family life. The result bridges the warmth of a local gathering place with the service and amenities of a private club.
